Five thematic areas define what I-FISD is committed to for the next decade. Six cross-cutting priorities run through all of them.
Five stable thematic areas, designed to last around ten years. They are how we organise expertise, evidence and partnerships.
Time-bound programmes and projects that put the thematic areas into practice. They grow and change. See programmes
We work to make sure children and young people can learn, stay in school through key transitions, and build the skills that lead to decent work.
Programmes
We strengthen farming, food systems and small enterprise so that households and communities can earn reliable incomes and build assets.
We improve community health and work to remove the barriers that exclude women, girls, people with disabilities and other marginalised groups.
Programmes
We help communities adapt to a changing climate, protect their environment and use clean energy productively.
We strengthen the organisations, community structures and governance systems that sustain development long after a programme ends.
Programmes
Cross-cutting priorities are not separate areas of work. They are commitments applied to every programme, project, publication and story, whatever its thematic area. The matrix shows how many items carry each priority within each area.
